Butterworth Furniture was founded in 1902 by John Butterworth. John was a skilled craftsman who started his business by building custom furniture for his friends and neighbors. In the 1950s, Butterworth Furniture began to sell furniture from other manufacturers in addition to their own custom-made pieces.
